He received his second Academy Award and BAFTA nominations for Girl with a Pearl Earring.In 2004 Eduardo Serra received the Ordem do Infante D. Henrique, a civilian award presented for services to Portuguese culture, from President Jorge Sampaio.He collaborated with composer James Newton Howard in Unbreakable (2000), Blood Diamond (2006), & Defiance (2008), and director David Yates in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1 and Deathly Hallows – Part 2, released 2010 and 2011 respectively. He was also the cinematographer for the film What Dreams May Come, starring Robin Williams.".
