He was the president of the Karachi Division of PTI from 1996 to 2000, vice-president of PTI Sindh from 2000 to 2001 and general secretary of PTI Sindh from 2001 to 2003. He went to the United States to pursue a masters degree in civil engineering. He also formed a construction contracting corporation.".
