After retiring from refereeing in 1991, his goodbye game was between the Iranian National Team and Cameroon, in Azadi Stadium. Afterwards, he attended and passed the International Football Inspection class in Malaysia, and became an International Football Inspector for FIFA and AFC for 14 years. Also, for 6 years he was the Head of the Referees committee in Iran, from 2002-2008. In 2002, he obtained a Special Awarded Badge diploma from FIFA from Mr. Sepp Blatter. In 2009, in Malaysia, he received a gold medal and special AFC shield for serving Asian football for 30 years. In 2010, at the age of 68, he retired from football activities, but occasionally teaches at Sharif University.".
