He received the National Award for Excellence in Leadership as the "Best Performed Chairman in Nigeria 2013" and also the Nigerian Local Government Development Award as an "Outstanding Chairman in Osun State"In addition to Oke-Ila Orangun, another major town in the local government area is Ora-Igbomina (often referred to as Ora) which lies to the northeast. The local government secretariat is located a few miles north of Oke-Ila Orangun, but other administrative buildings are located in Ora.Notable paramount rulers in Ifedayo LG includes The Orangun of Oke-Ila, The Asaooni of Ora-Igbomina and The Akesin of Ora-Igbomina.Tourist attractions includes the Ayinkunugba Falls; which is a waterfall of over 80m high that can be used to generate electricity.Notable indigenes from Ifedayo includes Professor Sola Adeyeye, Surv T.J Atolagbe, Hon Biodun Idowu, Pa Osundina, Omo-oba 'Kunle Ayantoye among others.There are several other small towns and villages in the local government area, most of which lie west of Oke-Ila Orangun.".
