Garhi Yasin region has always been an important because of proximity with the Shikarpur, a place that commanded the trade route through the Bolan Pass, and its merchants had dealings with many towns in Central Asia.Garhi Yasin taluka comprises two main towns Dakhan,Madeji and some main villages Haji Rohelo Khan Jaffri, and Bado. Garhi Yasin has produced remarkable Politicians, Civil Servants, Like Agha Siraj Khan Durrani the Speaker of Sindh assembly and Agha Rafique Khan Durrani former chief justice of sharia law and Chairman of SPSC .The town is named after its founder Yasin Khan Pathan. Sindhi is the common language of the people in this region.
