After several years away from television, she returned to primetime TV in 1996 with the lead role in the drama comedy True Love, co-starring Philip Glenister, and created by Men Behaving Badly writer Simon Nye. Nye adapted the drama into a series My Wonderful Life, that co-starred Elizabeth Berrington and Tony Robinson, which ran for three seasons from 1996 to 1999.".
