His book, Scientific Reasoning: the Bayesian Approach (with Peter Urbach) is considered the canonical philosophical defense of Bayesian reasoning.Professor Howson is married to Margaret Morrison, a Canadian philosopher of science who is also a Professor of Philosophy at the University of Toronto.".
