- Q5080485 abstract "Charles M. Poston, Sr. (February 14, 1898 – November 1968), was a railroad employee from Hornbeck, a small town in Vernon Parish in western Louisiana, who served a single term from 1960 to 1964 as a Democratic state senator from what is now District 30 (Beauregard, Calcasieu, Sabine, and Vernon parishes). Blair of Rapides Parish, Jackson B. Davis of Caddo Parish, Sylvan Friedman of Natchitoches Parish, J. C. Gilbert of Catahoula Parish, Speedy O. Long of La Salle Parish, B. H. "Johnny" Rogers of DeSoto Parish, and Harold Montgomery of Bossier and Webster parishes.Poston was married to Marjorie M. Poston (1899–1995), who was also a railroad employee.
