Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University, a master's degree in public affairs from the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University, and a law degree from Columbia University School of Law. Ambar also chairs the Public Leadership Education Network Board and is vice-chair of the New Jersey Commission on the Status of Women. She is a member of the New York State Bar Association and the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators. She is married to Saladin Ambar, who is also a graduate of Edmund A. Walsh School at Georgetown University and now teaches political science at Lehigh University. He earned his Ph.D. from Rutgers University in 2008. On April 19, 2007, Carmen Ambar gave birth to triplets.On May 1, 2008, Carmen Ambar was named thirteenth president of Cedar Crest College and was officially inaugurated to the position on October 23, 2009.".
