He closed out his tally with his 16th victory on 3 July 1917, still flying back seat to Holliday.Wall was elected to membership in the Royal Aero Club on 18 April 1918.He relinquished his honorary commission as a flight lieutenant on 3 March 1940. He was then appointed Pilot Officer from Flying Officer effective 29 October 1940.".
