Having not played since the end of 2009, Nakamura is currently unranked. However, she has been given a wildcard into the 2010 HP Open in Osaka, Japan. She defeated Alexandra Panova in the first round before falling to Kimiko Date-Krumm in straight sets.Nakamura retired from tennis in 2012.".
