On April 15, 2015, he was named the 2014–15 D-League Coach of the Year after leading the Red Claws to a franchise-best 35–15 win/loss record. In July 2015, Morrison coached the NBA D-League Select Team at the 2015 NBA Summer League. On January 2, 2016, he became the winningest coach in Red Claws' franchise history, earning his 46th win to surpass Austin Ainge (2009–11) and Mike Taylor (2012–14), who were both tied with an all-time Red Claws coaching record of 45–55.".
