Members of the IoD also gain access to co-working spaces around the UK, bespoke market intelligence, tailored tax and legal support, exclusive member-only events along with discounts on IoD professional development courses and events.The IoD currently has 34,500 full members. Members of the IoD come from companies of all sizes and from all industries. Around seventy per cent work for small and medium-sized enterprises and are typically in senior management and boardroom-level positions. Seventy-eight per cent of FTSE 100 companies have an IoD member on their board or in a senior management position. Membership reached a peak of over 55,000 in 2001 and since then has been in long term decline.".
