On June 5, 1897, he played his final big league game.Overall, Norton went five and two with a 4.13 ERA in 61 innings (12 games, seven games started). He walked 25 batters and struck out 13. For a pitcher, he wasn't a bad hitter. He hit .243 in 37 career at-bats.After his death, he was buried at Conneaut City Cemetery in Conneaut, Ohio.".
