A native of Washington D.C., she attended school in Cambridge and Oberlin College and studied at the Curtis Institute of Music. In 2004 she made her Met debut as Frasquita in Georges Bizet's Carmen. The song cycle was composed by William Bolcom with text by Sandra Seaton.".
