He joined Gerardo Vera’s All-Stars in 1979 and formed Orquesta Liberación in 1982.Alex Bueno began singing and playing guitar at a very young age. He moved from his native San José de Las Matas to Santo Domingo when he was a teenager, looking for a better chance to get involved in show business. In 1979, Bueno joined Gerardo Vera’s All-Stars, later recording a local hit called \"Piel Canela\" with Fernando Villalona. In 1982, Alex Bueno formed a tropical act called Orquesta Liberación, singing along with Andrés de Jesus. Following 1999's Corazón Duro and Bachata A Su Tiempo, Alex Bueno returned in 2001 with Unicamente Tú, the title was based on a popular song composed by Felipe Pirela.".
