He was an unsuccessful candidate for election in 1910.Brodbeck was elected as a Democrat to the Sixty-third Congress, but was an unsuccessful candidate for reelection in 1914. He was again elected to the Sixty-fifth Congress. He was an unsuccessful candidate for reelection in 1918. He was a delegate at large to the 1920 Democratic National Convention. He retired in 1920 and died in Hanover. Interment in Mount Olivet Cemetery."@en }
