She was Professor of English at Goucher College in Baltimore (1914–1944) and at Wellesley College (1944–1977, emeritus after 1950).She earned a Ph.D. from the University of Chicago in 1922 with a thesis that was later published as a book with the title Low Comedy as a Structural Element in English Drama from the Beginnings to 1642.Winslow was born in Grant City, Missouri on January 5, 1885 and died in Damariscotta, Maine, aged about 92.".
