The station was owned by FellowshipWorld and was the flagship station of the Totally Gospel Radio Network.Totally Gospel began as a 4 hour brokered black gospel radio program on October 13, 1991 hosted and produced by John H. Young, Sr. The program originally aired on WHLD 1270 under the ownership of Butler Communications. The program which consisted of Black Gospel Music and local ministries expanded to a daily format in 1992 and added an afternoon drivetime spin-off called "Drivetime Gospel". In 1996, the programming expanded and eventually moved all of its programming to AM daytimer WHTT 1120 (now WBBF) in September 1996. As the format continually gained popularity, John Young brokered the entire radio station to create Western New York's first and only full-time Black Gospel radio station dubbed "Heaven 1120"In 1996, The Morning Worship Club, a fast paced morning drive program was produced. The lease-management agreement with Citadel Broadcasting was ended in August 2010 to pursue the construction of WFWO/89.7 Medina, N.Y..The studios of "Totally Gospel" were located in the old WKBW-TV studios, which was the church headquarters of Clinton Churchill founder of WKBW/1520, also a pioneer Christian broadcaster. On February 12, 2013, WFWO went silent. It applied for an extension of its special temporary authority to remain silent on November 1, 2013. On August 26, 2014, the FCC cancelled WFWO's license.".
