The Minneapolis St. Paul & Sault Ste. Marie leased the Wisconsin Central in 1909 becoming #2645. The Locomotive spent its entire carter in Wisconsin. Often it was stationed in Manitowoc, Fond du Lac, and Neenah.In 1952 #2645 was sent through the Soo Line's North Fond du Lac shops for a heavy overhaul, where repairs were made, and upon its completion, she was assigned to Neenah.The Soo Line retired #2645 and donated her to the City of Waukesha on October 29 of 1952. At the time, #2645 was the last ten-wheeler in service on the Soo Line system, and travel one million miles. The Locomotive remained Frame Park until 1972 when it was moved to the ex-C&NW station, which is now a restaurant. On September 20, 1988, the Waukesha City Council donated #2645 to Mid-Continent Railway Museum, where it currently resides.".
