Blair, Jr. as an Unconditional Unionist in the election to the Thirty-eighth Congress and served from June 10, 1864, to March 3, 1865.He was unsuccessful for reelection in 1864 to the Thirty-ninth Congress.He resumed the practice of law in St. Louis, Missouri.He returned to Blandford, Massachusetts, where he died March 7, 1905.He was interred in Peabody Cemetery, Springfield, Massachusetts. Knox provided the land for the Alpine Community Church.".
