- NYArts abstract "NY Arts Magazine or NY Arts, was founded by Abraham Lubelski in 1995 alongside the Public Relations company 'World Art Media' and the Soho Gallery 'Broadway Gallery'. NY Arts Magazine was published quarterly as well as online. In September 2014 'NY Arts', 'Broadway Gallery' and 'World Art Media' closed. As a major alternative and controversial arts publication it offered exposure to unknown and up and coming artist. In its initial offering it presented such features as "Mob Rule" a monthly series of panel discussions of new works on exhibit. It was one of the most accessible arts media resource. NY Arts was first in presenting entire transcriptions and articles on the internet while in print there is an abbreviated limited version. This limitation of costly space, allowed NY arts to introduce a much larger number of artists especially in print. In a major interview on ABC news the founder and publisher Abraham Lubelski indicated that "the internet is where all artists are to be discovered and promoted from now on." In keeping with its innovative approach NY Arts was the first in 1995 to offer a daily newsletter via e-mail with over 10,000 subscribers. Aside from its extensive international editorial features NY Arts Magazine assisted unaffiliated artists with publicity and promotional programs. Recent and past editors included: Matthew Hassell, Jason Stopa, Stefano Pasquini, Christian Viveros-Fauné. In keeping with NY Arts' original and basic approach of providing opportunity to unknown artist, writers and editors NY Arts has presented and offered opportunities to over 30 different editors, contributing editors, and guest editors, 50,000 artists, over 5,000 writers, who would otherwise have little or no exposure. Over 100 print editions have been published since its founding.NYArts had a readership of over 65,000. The magazine was available at over 2,000 U.S. and international locations including galleries, museums, artist supply houses, libraries and bookstores.NY Arts Magazine was a contemporary art magazine that dealt primarily with what was going on in art communities world-wide. The main focus as the tile indicated was New York City. Contributors have included Arthur Danto, Robert C. Morgan, Achille Bonito Oliva, Valery Oisteanu, Piero Golia, Enrico Pedrini, Lee Klein, Stefano Pasquini, Jamie Dalglish and Dennis Bellone.".
