Quillian played for the United States in the 1958 Davis Cup tie against Venezuela, the quarterfinal of the Americas zone, and won his doubles and singles match.He was a coach from 1965 until his death in 1973 at the age of 39 from Leukemia. The tennis stadium at the University of Washington was renamed The Bill Quillian Stadium in his honor. [1] He was inducted into the University of Washington Hall of Fame in 1985. [2]".
