Between 1996 and 2004 the Eater's regularly played throughout Philadelphia, New York and New Jersey, and occasionally in Los Angeles. They also produced and re-mixed other artists too, which include Pretty Poison, Josh Wink, Ani DiFranco, D Generation, Rocket from the Crypt, and Incognegro.Plastic Eaters are also known for their 35mm short film ".357-11". Written and directed by Rob Daly, the film stars Rob Daly, Stan Stammers and Sean Money in acting roles and features Plastic Eaters' music. The short has been screened at film festivals ranging from TromaDance and The Los Angeles International Short Film Festival, to The New York International Film Festival.After the release of a few EPs and a live album "Live At The Uptown", through their on website, the band seem to be returning more to old school punk with their newer material. The band hasn't until now released material in the UK. In December 2008 Plastic Eaters released a version of the Slade classic "Merry X-mas Everybody" with "Going On A Mission", as a digital download only release through iTunes and 7digital. In 2010 Chuck Treece from skate punk band McRad, join as their resident drummer.In 2011, Stan Stammers and Rob Daly started writing soundtracks for US TV, Film, and US TV adverts under the name Plastic Eater Sound, which is also the name of their record label. 2012 will see the long awaited release of their new studio album "OK... Call It A Comeback".".
