From 2001 to 2007, Peter Cardy was chief executive of the Macmillan Cancer Relief, the foremost charity enabling the care of people suffering from cancer. Following his appointment to Macmillan Cancer Relief, Peter Cardy was interviewed by Hannah Brown of The Lancet. He expressed views on the role of consumers in determining health policy and about the work he had undertaken in his previous appointments.".
