In another game at Cape Town during the 1908/09 season, he achieved a 6 for 34 bowling score against Eastern Province, also recording ten wickets (10 for 92) and a second and last first-class 50In the 1909/10 season, Norton played in the fifth Test match during a series with England's visiting Marylebone Cricket Club. On that occasion, Norton picked up four wickets for 47 with Jack Hobbs and Frank Woolley, scoring 2 and 7.".
