Ester Millard continued to run the school for the next nineteen years, during which time the school had an excellent reputation and a high rate of admission into the military academies. The last graduating class from Millard graduated in 1981.[1].The school was the successor to the earlier Millard's Preparatory School, also founded by Homer Millard, which existed in Washington, D.C. from 1925 to 1948.".
