It was nominated for the Television Critics Association Award for "Outstanding Achievement in Children's Programming" in 2006. The episode "Squeeze the Day" won the award for "Best Television Animation for Children" at the 2007 Ottawa International Animation Festival. The entertainment website IGN listed Foster's as the 85th greatest animated television program of all time. Zap2it placed Eduardo, one of the main characters from the series, number seven on their list of "Underrated of 2006."".
