His opponent in the by-election was Geoff Currier, a host on the city's talk radio station CJOB. Orlikow was re-elected in the 2010 election, beating Michael Kowalson, with 55% of the votes. However, voter turnout was only 22%. In the 2014 elections he was again re-elected, winning 55% of the votes, this time beating Taz Stuart.Born in Oakville, Ontario, Orlikow holds a degree in conflict resolution from Menno Simons College. He is the son of Lionel Orlikow, a former Winnipeg school board trustee, and the nephew of David Orlikow, a former federal Member of Parliament.In another by-election held on the same day, his former seat on the school board was won by Rita Hildahl.".
