He remained captain until the end of the 1900 season and was a premiership player again in 1901. During his career he represented Victoria at interstate football.A talented sportsman, in addition to his football career, Stuckey also played first class cricket for Victoria and, in 1897 (the year he captained Essendon to its first VFL premiership) he won the 130-yard Stawell Gift, in 12.2 seconds, off a handicap of 12 yards.In 2010 Stuckey was inducted into the Essendon Hall of Fame.".
