He served in the court from 1931 to 1937.Davis was a Methodist. He was a member of the American Bar Association, American Legion; Military Order of the World Wars; Reserve Officers Association; Sons of Confederate Veterans; Freemasons; Knights Templar; Shriners; Elks; Lions; Odd Fellows; and Phi Alpha Delta.".
