He joined Tottenham Hotspur in exchange for Jimmy Robertson in October 1968, but never proved an adequate replacement for the 1967 FA Cup winner, making just 17 appearances in almost four seasons and scoring 2 goals.Jenkins joined Brentford in July 1972 and moved to Hereford United in March 1973 where he helped them clinch promotion to the old Third Division. He later played for Shrewsbury Town, Durban City, Workington and several non-League clubs.".
