Following the 2002 season, he was granted free agency, and went on to sign with New York once more, although he never again appeared in a Major League game. He was granted free agency after the 2003 season, and ended up singing with Montreal again. He signed with the Colorado Rockies after the 2004 season.On May 12, 2005, while playing for the Colorado Springs Sky Sox in the Rockies organization, Parker was suspended for violating the minor league steroid policy. He was again a free agent following the 2005 season, and has not signed with a team since.".
