He played college football at the University of Notre Dame.Mack was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 10th round (131st overall) of the 1961 NFL Draft. He was also drafted by the Buffalo Bills in the 23rd round (179th overall) of 1961 American Football League Draft. He joined the Green Bay Packers in 1966 but was dropped from the team in 1967.".
