Previously she worked as an anchor on Israel Broadcasting Authority's Channel 1.Hasson began her journalistic career as a criminal law correspondent, and afterwards was appointed a political reporter on Channel 1. Today she serves as the Channel's main correspondent for political affairs, as the presenter of the weekend primetime "Yoman" news and current affairs magazine, as well as the host of the long-running radio political talk show "Hakol Diburim" on Reshet Bet (the second network) of the IBA's Kol Yisrael. Hasson became known for numerous influential known stories she reported. Among others, the "Bar-On-Hebron" affair in 1997, which shook the political system in Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's first term, in which she reported that the nominee for attorney general, Roni Bar-On, allegedly was part of a political deal with the Shas party to dismiss charges against Shas's influential political leader, Aryeh Deri, once Bar-On would take office. In addition, in 2004 she reported that tape recordings of then Knesset member Yosef Paritzky revealed that he allegedly attempted to fabricate a case against then Knesset member Avraham Poraz, both of whom represented the Shinui party; In advance of the 2006 elections, Hasson and Ben Caspit presented a lead-up program, "Israel Votes," on Channel 1, in addition to her daily work as the Channel's principal political affairs reporter. In 2008, the pair became the presenters of the weekend prime-time news magazine "Yoman." In 2009, she became the first woman to receive the "Queen of the Desert Award for Women's Empowerment." This veteran project sends women on challenging journeys and is granted to "leading and pioneering women in Israeli society whose work and activities assist in the empowerment of women, promote women's self-realization and break down gender boundaries."
