Beginning in 1940, he served as director of the CentreElectroMontage (short for Central Electric Assembly) Trust and Research Institute under the guidance of the Ministry of Assembly and Special Construction Projects of the USSR. The trust was a Soviet monopoly and largely carried out specialized government projects. Among them were the Ostankino Television Tower and Sputnik-1. He was also the founder and first director of the ProektElectroMontage Research Institute (Russian: ВНИИ ПроектЭлектроМонтаж ЛО Ф.5692, 44 ед.хр., 1953-1982 гг., оп.1-2).".
