There she won the gold medal in the 100 m breaststroke and silver in the 200 m breaststroke, and set the Olympic record in the 100 m breaststroke with the time of 1:15.8. At the end of the year, she was proclaimed as the athlete of the year in Yugoslavia.After her swimming career Bjedov turned to coaching. Her daughter Anamarija Petričević, also a swimmer, competed at the 1988 Summer Olympics. They both now live in Locarno, Switzerland.Bjedov is a member of the International Swimming Hall of Fame.".
