Carvalho Leite was a member of the Brazilian 1930 World Cup squad, being the youngest player of the tournament (a record he held until Pelé debuted at 17 in the 1958 World Cup. He was also a part of the 1934 World Cup squad. He died in July 2004 at the age of 92, by which time he was the last surviving player of the Brazilian 1930 World Cup team.".
