Nanyondo took a 30-second victory to lead the home team to a 1-2-3 sweep and the team championship. Later in the year she upped her game taking her 800m time under 2:00 with a 1:59.27 in Ostrava. A little more than a month later at the Herculis meet in Monaco, she followed Wilson and world champion Eunice Jepkoech Sum to improve her personal best to 1:58.63.
