He was LWT's first deputy managing director, becoming both chairman and chief executive of the company within two years. Margerison left lWT in 1971. He served as the chairman of Computer Technology Ltd from 1971 to 1975.Margerison died, aged 90, on 25 February 2014. He was survived by his partner, journalist Marjorie Wallace, with whom he had lived since the mid 1980s, by their daughter, Sophia Margerison, and by Peter and Angus, his two sons by his ex-wife Pamela Margerison (née Tilbrook).".
