The student population is 449, with a high degree of ethnic and social diversity; There were 105 students in the senior class of 2008. The school celebrated their first four-year graduates with the class of 2007 marking a major milestone for the school.The faculty numbers 40, with 30 percent having advanced degrees, and an average of 7.1 years teaching experience. The current staff to student ratio is 1 to 9.1.Students spend half of their school day studying in their artistic areas, and the other half in academic classes. There is no tuition at Charter Arts because it is a public charter school.All students receive a GPA based on a 4.0 scale; however, Charter Arts does not rank and no courses are weighted. Pass/Fail courses are not included in the GPA.Past shows from the Theatre Department in the 2013 to 2014 season include Noises Off, Hamlet, and Promises, Promises. Noises Off was directed by Kelly Bickert, starring Bayley Carl, Adrien Mubu, Teague Fernandez, Jessica Martin, Amanda Lahoz, Joya Widney, Thane Hunsicker, Matt Daning, and Ian Crawford. Hamlet was directed by Christopher Morris, starring Pierce Campion and Elizabeth Tumbleson both as the title character. Promises, Promises was directed by Ashley Weller, starring Albert Nelthropp, Aria Sivick, Teague Fernandez, Gabriel Moses, and Sarah Bauch.".
