All of the bricks in the original structure were made on the property using slave labor. A two-story east wing was added in 1906 after purchase by the Pechin family from the Cleveland, Ohio, area. Also on the property are a contributing potato cellar/acetylene house, cistern (c. 1900), washhouse/apartment (c. 1900, c. 1940), two garages, two barns (c. 1900), machinery shed (c. 1930), chicken house (c. 1930), pet cemetery, lake (1946), gate house, well / gazebo (c. 1930), potato cellar, Creek House, and well.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002.".
