- Q1320637 abstract "The Euro Hockey League 2011–12 is the fifth season of the Euro Hockey League, which is the most important club tournament in European field hockey. With the aim of developing club hockey at an international level, the European Hockey Federation, in co-operation with Dutch sports marketing and media agency PRO SPORT, introduced the Euro Hockey League, the new format that replaced the men's European Cup competition at the start of the 2007-08 season. The 2011-12 competition witnessed five rounds taking place at four locations, with Rounds 1.1 and 1.2 (Pool Stages) taking place at HTC Uhlenhorst Mülheim and KHC Dragons. HC Rotterdam in the Netherlands hosted Rounds 2 & 3 (KO16 / KO8) of the competition, which are in the "Knock Out" format. The Semi Finals and Finals were also played in the Netherlands, with Amsterdam H&BC's Wagener Stadium being the venue. UHC Hamburg of Germany were the winners of the 2011-12 competition. It was their third success in the tournament following winning the league in 2007-2008 and 2009-10.".
