On 19 July 2013, Ziade was elected president of the Movement.The Democratic Renewal has had four members in the Parliament, Nadim Salem of Jezzine in South Lebanon (1972-2000), Nassib Lahoud of Metn in Mount Lebanon (1991-2005), Camille Ziade of Kesrwan in Mount Lebanon (1992-2000), and Misbah Ahdab of Tripoli in North Lebanon (1996-2009).".
