- Q105121 description "German historian. Among his books it is important to remember On borrowed peace, published by Faber and Faber as early as 1943. In this memory and essay he describes the struggle of a conservative family to fight the nazism. His deep and sincere christianism did not help him to be better known, may be because it was considered out of date or out of fashion.".
