- Youth_Time abstract "The Youth Time International Movement is an international NGO based in Prague, Czech Republic. It was founded in 2010 by Julia Kinash to foster collaboration between young people to create social change.Since 2010 it has co-hosted youth conferences in various countries in collaboration with, and funded by, the World Public Forum, which was founded and run by Vladimir Yakunin, former president of Russian Railways and at the time close to Vladimir Putin. The conferences are a form of public diplomacy that bring together young activists, entrepreneurs, and other young people to work toward a mulitpolar future, an approach described by Sam Pitroda, one of the speakers at Youth Time's 2012 India Youth Forum, as more in tune with the needs of developing nations. In addition to its conferences, Youth Time has organized annual 5-day summer schools, held in a different country each year since 2011. The 30 attendees between the ages of 18 and 35 are selected from a pool of applicants—primarily from non-Western countries—who most convincingly demonstrated their commitment to social causes and social change in their applications. The organization also funds the travel expenses and accommodation of selected journalists between the ages of 18 and 35 to attend and subsequently cover their summer schools and conferences. The organization publishes a bi-monthly in English and Russian; the magazine states that it has a circulation of 28,000 with 65% of its subscribers based in Russia, 20% in Germany, and 15% in the Czech Republic.According to Echo24, Youth Time's conferences and magazine have featured people with pro-Russian viewpoints and who criticize the economic sanctions on Russia, such as the Czech President Miloš Zeman. The magazine has also featured Alexander Karelin, the former Greco-Roman wrestler and a United Russia party member of the Russian State Duma.".
