He was born in Boston, Massachusetts.In a two-season career, Rosenthal was a .266 hitter (95-for-357) with four home runs and 42 RBI in 123 games, including 40 runs, 17 doubles, five triples, five stolen bases and a .319 on-base percentage.Rosenthal served in World war 1. After the death of his son (serving his country) he signed up for another commission in World War II, becoming paralyzed from the waist down in a mine explosion at sea. His son had previously been killed in the conflict.Baseball players were not paid as well as today. The Boston Red Sox held a Si Rosenthal day to raise money for his care. Rosenthal died at the age of 65 in his home town of Boston, Massachusetts.".
