- Mukhia abstract "The Mukhia (commonly 'Mukhia' मुखिया) also known as Sunuwar people, belongs to one of the ancient linguistic tribes of Kirant. They are one of the Indigenous Peoples of Mongolia.They consider themselves as suryawanshi. They are normally categorized as \"Gurkha population\" and hence belong to Mongoloid.According to history, there were three states of Kiratas in Eastern Asia- Far(Palloo) Kirat, Mid(Majh) Kirat and Near(Wallo) Kirat. Their migration (mainly to the east) later took place in several parts of the country in Jhapa, Ilam, Panchthar, Taplejung, Terathum, Sunsari, Sindhuli, Kathmandu and other districts of Nepal , India ,Darjeeling, Sikkim, Dehradun, Bhutan, South Korea, Japan, UK USA, Canada. There are a many sub-cast under Mukhia(sunuwar. There are two main catogeries of Mukiha known as Dus Tharay (group having ten sub-castes) and Bahara Tharay (having twelve castes).".
