- KAGM abstract "KAGM (106.7 MHz) is a radio station licensed to Los Alamos, New Mexico. It is owned by American General Media and has a Rhythmic Contemporary format branded as \"Power 106.7\". Its studios are located on Carlisle Blvd in Northeast Albuquerque and the transmitter tower is located west of Los Alamos, New Mexico. The format originally launched on July 20, 2009 on 106.3. The new station was branded as \"Power 106\" with slogan \"Where Hip-Hop Lives\". In late 2010, \"Power\" began to mix current rhythmic hits with old-school hip hop/R&B using a new slogan \"Today and Back in the Day\". Mornings originally featured the syndicated Big Boy's Neighborhood. However in October of 2011, KAGM replaced Big Boy's Neighborhood with Double J In The Morning to take over the morning show. Double J came from KHTN where hosted afternoons and was also the Imaging Director and Promotions Director while simultaneously working part time at KDND as an on-air personality. Double J is currently the Assistant Program Director for KAGM and Assistant Program Director and Music Director for sister station KDLW as well a hosting his daily show Monday thru Friday 6am to 10am MST. In September 2014 \"Lyndsie Lohan The Intern\" was hired and almost immediately she began earning nicknames for herself. Some of the most memorable are \"Snaggletooth\" or \"The Can Opener\". Nicknames given to her by listeners because of her oblong tooth on the left side of her mouth. On April 1, 2013, at 8 AM, the rhythmic/urban format previously airing on 106.3 moved up to the 106.7 frequency along with the KAGM callsign, displacing the \"OMG!\" Mainstream Contemporary Hit format, and rebranded as \"Power 106.7\". On April 4, 2014 former KKSS airstaff including program director DJ Lopez, afternoon host Johnny V, night host MQ all joined KAGM replacing the former airstff with the morning show staying the same. DJ Lopez is now the PD and midday host at KAGM as well as PD at sister stations CHR/Top 40 KDLW \"Z 106.3\" and Alternative KARS \"Area 102.9\" while Johnny V and MQ reprise their shifts at KAGM. They were also joined by Julian Robles of Regional Mexican KJFA who now joins AGM's KLVO. A little earlier the station had also gone from \"Today and back in the day\" to returning to the current-based rhythmic contemporary format and slogan \"Where Hip-Hop Lives!\" admist the recent launches of \"old school\" formats on iHeartMedia's Hot 95.1 and Univision's Yo! 101.3 putting the station in direct competition with KKSS again as well as iHeartMedia's 100.9 The Beat.".
