He served the Commission during 2001 and 2002. Egan was named the president and CEO of NHC in January 2003.He also served for eight years as a commissioner for the Fairfax County, VA, Redevelopment and Housing Authority (FCRHA) and as chairman of the FCRHA for six of those years.In June 2008, Egan was inducted into Affordable Housing Finance Magazine's Housing Hall of Fame and was honored as \"Lord Fairfax\" for his work as the Chairman of the Fairfax, Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development.".
